I am SOUPer excited to make pumpkin soup for the first time ever this fall (I hope it’s good because I’ve never actually had it).

Pancakes with Bacon, Cheddar, Goat Cheese, & Corn
Orange-Thyme Beer Shandy
I’m gonna go with these recipes I think, but I’m not sure what I want for a meat dish and vegetable.

I made biscuits yesterday and they turned out funny. They weren’t bad, but they had an odd texture; similar to shortbread. I want flaky biscuits. I think maybe I overworked the dough, but I kind of want to try a different recipe too. The recipe I used was:
1/2 c butter
2/3 c milk
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 c flour
Any suggestions?
I bought this on ThinkGeek today. :3 I also bought some other items, including Cosmic Catnip bubbles for my kitty, a Minecraft t-shirt for Schmichael, and a panda felting kit:
